Dr. Ruby Perry, Appointed Tuskegee University Dean

TUSKEGEE, Ala. (March 30, 2015) — Dr. Ruby Perry, Interim Dean for the Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine, Nursing and Allied Health, has been chosen as the college’s permanent dean. Perry, a former president of the Tuskegee Veterinary Medical Alumni Association, is the first alumna to be named both interim dean and dean of a U. S. veterinary school. With her appointment, there are now three Tuskegee alums serving as veterinary school deans.

Perry is a 1977 graduate of the Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine and received a Master of Science degree from Michigan State University. She was the first African American female board-certified veterinary radiologist and is a member of the American College of Veterinary Radiology
